Melanie is a Broker Associate with Coldwell Banker and a 40-year veteran of the real estate business. She is distinguished as one of Coldwell Banker’s Previews Property Specialists for luxury homes and a recipient of their International President’s Premier award to the top 1% agents internationally.
Melanie has assembled a team of experts who assist in pre-market preparation including property inspections, repairs, consultation with updating, remodeling and interior design, professional staging services, transaction coordination, loan resourcing, escrow coordination and a host of other services as determined by the unique qualities of each transaction.
Melanie’s goal is to make each home purchase or sale a smooth and seamless process. Each transaction requires thoughtful planning and organization, sharp negotiation skills, tenacious follow-up, excellent communication skills and painstaking attention to detail on all levels. As one of her clients said “I was totally skeptical of the process going into this, but Melanie laid out exactly what she was going to do, educated me on the process and documents, took the extra time to make sure I wasn't freaking out, then time after time blew me away with all that was accomplished. I felt like I had won the lotto.”
Melanie is well versed in all aspects of today’s residential real estate process. First licensed as a real estate agent in Boulder, Colorado in 1976, she purchased the rights to open her own real estate office within 2 years. A year thereafter, she and a partner purchased the franchise rights for Northern California from a leading national real estate company. They franchised 13 offices and sold that network to open their own franchise company. This company was merged with another premier company in the bay area, and Melanie returned to her first passion in 1992 – working with her private network of past clients and referrals in home purchases and sales. Today, that expanded network makes up more than 90% of her business.
